My name is Rebecca and I am dyslexic. My mom and I decided to try home school and this is one of my projects - a journal all about me. I am going to try to write at least once a week. I won't always talk about my dyslexia, but sometimes I will because it is a big part of me - a part that will be with me forever.

Daddy is Great!

I did not choose this topic.  As you can see, my Dad did.  So let me start my story off with Daddy is GREAT!  Well, because he is my dad and I love him very much.  But sometimes my dad will be not so nice because he makes some kids cry when he plays wrestle with them.  Oh, dad!  But after all, I still love him.  He is my dad and this story is true, believe it or not.  Well, I still have more on the timer, so don't stop reading yet...  I love him with all my heart, just like the rest of my family, but he is my topic.  Love you dad!!!  ~BYE!

Hanukkah

We celebrate Hanukkah.  It is fun!  If you do not know what Hanukkah is then let me tell you.  There are 8 nights of Hanukkah.  Every night we light the menorah.  It looks like this:
You light the middle candle every night.  And you light each candle depending on what night it is.  You get presents every night.  There are 8 nights, so you get 8 presents.  I make up a little song each year.  It follows the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas. [here is a song]

On the first night of Hanukkah my parents gave to me, a great game called Cuponk.
On the second night of Hanukkah my parents gave to me, an Annie CD and a great game called Cuponk.
On the third night of Hanukkah my parents gave to me, glitter in my hair, an Annie CD, and a great game called Cuponk.
On the fourth night of Hanukkah my parents gave to me...

Well, you get the idea.  I will do the rest for you someday.  ~BYE!

Home School

Well, I started home school in 4th grade.  It is still 4th grade so I have not been in it for a long time yet.  I am on my second week of home school.  On my last day of Timber Point, my mom brought in treats to celebrate.  Well, because it was my last day of school.  Everyone gave me a big hug and some people said "meet me after school".  But on accident, I did not forget, but I did not meet them because there was a big crowd and not everybody knew it was my last day.  So, now that I got that out of my system...  Wait!  I need it in my system again because I can't think of anything else.  So, that means we are coming to a fine end.  ~BYE!

I'm Dyslexic

I have Dyslexia.  It is sometimes confusing when it begins, but after awhile you get used to it.  If you have Dyslexia, you know how I feel and I know how you feel.  It makes games like Twister hard.  Left and right - it gets confusing.  You just want to quit!  How is it confusing?  Because I do not know my left and right.  So, I do not play that game.  I have lots more games, it's just that I can explain that one more.  And there is another - I can't explain things very well.  So, if you ask me to explain something, it will take me a couple minutes.  I don't get lots of things.  I feel free to say "I don't get it!".  I have lots more things to talk about right now, but I can't think of anything...  Well that is another thing.  I don't have a good memory sometimes.  So, that is me for you if you don't have dyslexia.  ~BYE!
